You don't look like Gwyneth Paltrow, Mom!

I need a new hair style.

My Photo

I have had this one since Grade 10.  That was a really, really long time ago.  I have thumbed through magazines and books and found several that I like only to hear  "that won't look good on you" or "that doesn't look anything like you"  or "are you sure you want to curl your hair every day",  "really, you want that color"

What I've come to realize is that I usually like the face more than the hair style.  So I have superimposed my face over the faces of "hairstyles" I like - just to see what I might look like if I had that hair.

See how they turned out.

Not horrible, but I can see those bangs hanging in my eyes.

or this:

nope not this one - no need to worry Gwynnie.

still more!

gypsy!

Yikes!  Hair by weed whacker.

I have no words for this one.

I'm not ready for grey.

Okay, truth be told, I don't like this hairstyle but curiosity got the best of me.

Maybe I'll just wear a hat...

Go the first one, the rest are scary. Great idea though. I was playing with an app on my ipod with hairstyles, none of them suited me. I was very sad.

Ha, ha! You are very funny. Just happen to land on your blog and read your post. No, you are not Gwenyrh Paltrow. You are you, and you are beautiful.

Rod Stewart! Gee, I hope it's not the one I've picked. Thanks all for your comments - I'll post pictures later on the "before" and "after"

This is so funny!! I don't know how you did it but I had to giggle. I think you look best just the way you are. I wear my hair the same way and once in awhile if I get bored, I get a few inches cut off.

Thanks so much for stopping by. You have a great blog!

Janie

Be careful what you wish for! I've had the same old same old style for so long now, however when I get tempted to change it I resist the temptation & get a colour change. That way I don't do anything outrageously stupid, but feel I've at least done SOMETHING!

it is pretty frightening - my hair stylist (isn't that an oxymoron) says it's only hair, it will grow. But what if its so bad I frighten pets and small children! such a dilemma.... and I certainly don't want to look like Rod Stewart!!!
